Hotline

Crisis communications, ready when you need it

Independent schools depend on the trust of their families. With Hotline, schools have a crisis communications expert on call whenever bad news threatens that trust.

Hotline ensures that school leaders have the right communications advisers in place and ready to respond when an institution’s reputation, operational security, or financial well-being faces jeopardy.

What counts as a crisis?

Schools are unique because of their mission to serve children and their status as the heart of tight-knit, complex communities. But they also can become lightning rods for negative attention.

Fine Point Communications has helped schools maintain the trust of families, faculty and students while navigating situations such as:

  • Employment transitions
  • Campus-climate issues
  • Disruptions related to technology
  • Public-safety matters
  • Threats to public relations
  • Off-campus behavior that affects on-campus learning

We also help leadership teams prepare for the inevitability of crisis through training exercises. These help team members know what to expect from one another in a response situation.

Why call on Fine Point Communications?

Each person on Fine Point’s Hotline team brings more than a decade of on-campus experience leading school communications and messaging during crises.

Fine Point serves only independent schools, so we understand how to balance a community’s expectations and a school’s needs when the stakes are high.

“Having an on-call relationship with Fine Point has been invaluable. Their expertise has given us both confidence and practical tools.

“And the flexibility of the on-call model means I can reach out when an issue arises, knowing I’ll get timely, thoughtful guidance that strengthens our response and helps us lead with clarity.”
