Fine Point Off-Site

The conference for communications directors

Take your professional skills to the next level at the Fine Point Off-Site conference!

This day-long program for communications directors at independent schools is in Baltimore on Wednesday, March 3 — one day before the NAIS Annual Conference starts in earnest.

The Off-Site provides practical information from experts on topics that you deal with every day:

  • Storytelling that anticipates shrinking audience attention
  • Protecting school reputation during a crisis
  • Staying up-to-date on changes in marketing channels
  • Meeting everyone’s needs with limited resources

The gathering we’ve needed

Presenters during the Off-Site are established leaders in independent schools. And sessions are geared specifically to where communications directors need support.

The consistent aim and quality of this program simply can’t be found at any other conference.

Along with professional development, the Off-Site provides plenty of time for directors to meet and talk shop with their peers from other schools.

Lessons learned and connections made at the Fine Point Off-Site will pay dividends all year.

Professional development without compromise

For too long, independent school communicators have lacked an annual event of our own, where the focus is solely on improving our craft. Instead, we’ve made do with the fringes of gatherings intended for other departments.

With the Fine Point Off-Site, there is no longer a need to settle.

  • Our sessions focus on marketing and communications issues.
  • Registrations are capped to ensure every director has the opportunity for lively participation.
  • And the schedule includes plenty of time for networking.

About This Event

The Fine Point Off-Site is presented by Fine Point Communications, a full-service consultancy that works only with independent schools.

Since 2020, we have provided school heads, board chairs and communications directors with such services as crisis communications, short-term departmental leadership and public relations.

While Fine Point Communications is proud to be a Community Catalyst of the National Association of Independent Schools, the Fine Point Off-Site is independent of both NAIS and NAIS Thrive 2027. No association between the events should be inferred.
